Inter-Academic League
The boys' Inter-Academic League (Inter-Ac) is a six team affiliation of three co-ed and three all male college preparatory schools in the greater Philadelphia region. The oldest high school boy's athletic league in the United States, the Inter-Ac was founded in 1887 and is currently comprised of member schools: Chestnut Hill Academy, Episcopal Academy, Haverford School, Germantown Academy, Malvern Prep, and Penn Charter. The boys' Inter-Ac offers interscholastic competition at the varsity and junior varsity level in 11 sports. Annually, the boys' Inter-Ac awards the Heyward Cup to the school which compiles the best composite results in the league standings in all 11 sports.
