Open House and Academic Scholarship Entrance Exam - October 18 and 19

Point Person: Holly Cheshire, Director of Marketing - 484-595-1173
Malvern Prep's admissions showcase event is coming next weekend!  It will feature mini-classes, demonstrations, piano preludes, Coaches' Corner, with a coach available for every sport, two and three-dimensional artwork and information about Malvern's international service trips. Every bit of the campus will be alive with activity! While parents tour the campus and get in-depth information about any and every area of student life, their sons take the exam. (Malvern Prep 8th graders will take the exam on Monday, October 20 during the school day for placement and to qualify them for merit scholarship.) If you know of a young man, grades 5 - 9 who would benefit from the Malvern experience, please have his parents contact Mrs. Cheshire to register for the exam and the Open House; or have them register on-line at www.malvernprep.org/admissions. It’s not too late.

Empty Bowls
Creatively Helping Others

Empty Bowls Update
Point Person: Kate Plows, Ceramics Teacher - 484-595-5203
MW100608_EmptyBowls.jpgMalvern students, faculty, and staff have been working hard on the creation of 400 ceramic bowls for the Empty Bowls Dinner scheduled for Friday, December 12. The way an Empty Bowls Dinner works is simple. Guests purchase tickets for the event in advance, and then select a handmade bowl in which they will be served a simple dinner of soup and bread. Our soup is being donated by Mr. Tom Gray and the cafeteria staff. Guests keep the bowls as a reminder that there are always Empty Bowls in the world.
