Support Malvern Prep Through Expanded EITC Program
Point Person: Marty Farrell, Executive Director of Development - 484-595-1111
Some of you, no doubt, are already aware of a unique opportunity that presented itself several years ago to support Malvern's financial aid and scholarship program - the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). This program, approved by the Pennsylvania State Legislature in 2001, allows tax credits for companies that contribute to scholarship organizations.

This year, the EITC has expanded to include businesses that are subject to the Personal Income Tax of S Corporation shareholders or Partnership partners.

It's fairly simple for your business to participate. First, your company completes the appropriate application to the State for tax credit for a contribution to scholarship/financial aid programs at Malvern Prep. Once the State approves the request, the contribution must be made directly to the School within 60 days. There is a yearly statewide cap and tax credits are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Businesses that qualify would include those in Pennsylvania that pay any of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax (CNI); Capital Stock and Franchise Tax; Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax; Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax; Insurance Premiums Tax; Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax; and, now, S Corporation Income Tax.

We hope if appropriate, you will consider supporting Malvern through this unique program.

For an application and more detailed information on EITC, contact Marty Farrell, Executive Director of Development for Malvern Prep, at 484-595-1111.
