The day will bring surrounding communities together to further the sport of lacrosse and to help raise money to donate to families whose child is battling a life threatening illness.<br />Evanfest was created to honor the memory of Malvern Prep’s Evan Brady, a youth lacrosse standout who lost his fight with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) on September 21, 2005. Lacrosse was a very large part of Evan’s life and during his four-year fight with the disease he continued to live his life to the fullest and was a role model for all his teammates and classmates.<br />The funds raised from Evanfest – now over $450,000 – go directly to help families that are dealing with a child that has a life-threatening disease or illness. The program begins in Stewart Hall. All prospective candidates should attend at least one Malvern Preview Morning. (One parent must accompany the visiting student.)
