The wait lasted until a day after Malvern’s commencement ceremony, but his patience and persistence paid off as on Friday, June 6, Malvern graduate Ryan McGuckin received an Offer of Appointment to the United States Naval Academy.

McGuckin, who while waiting for the decision made plans to attend Villanova University on a U.S. Navy ROTC scholarship, immediately accepted the offer from the Academy and is preparing to head down to Annapolis, Md., for Plebe Induction on July 2. McGuckin reports that he is up for the challenge and aims to make his family, Malvern Family and country proud.
