Malvern Prep won the USRowing Club National Championship in the Junior Men's Quad division on July 19 in Camden, N.J. The event featured more than 30 quads from schools and clubs.

The Malvern boat of Mike Donohue, Mike Rawlings, Matt Benedetto, and Sean Stewart also competed at the CanAmMex Regatta July 25-26 in Oklahoma City. The regatta brought together the top junior rowers from the United States, Canada and Mexico to compete for the North American championships.

The Malvern quad has had a tremendous season including the four major crew championships: the Philadelphia City Championship, the Stotesbury Cup, the National Scholastic Rowing Championships and the USRowing Youth National Championship. No quad has ever won all four major championships in the same year. The quad also reached the semifinals of the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England earlier this month.
