The Malvern Prep campus was anything but sleepy this summer with the rumbling of construction equipment replacing the chatter of students as the School has worked to complete a number of significant renovations in time for the start of classes on Sept. 2.
Top on the list of construction projects is the demolition of Dennis Hall to make way for a landscaped academic quad in front of the Duffy Arts Center. Tolentine Hall was completely renovated to now house the Counseling Department, Upper School administration, classrooms, conference rooms, the yearbook and student newspaper offices, and the Schools telecommunication network servers.
In addition, a new cedar roof was installed on Austin Hall; the chapel had it stained glass renovated and new pillars installed; new vinyl flooring was placed in the Carney hallways; and needed repairs were made to Dougherty Hall and the O’Neill Center.
With the construction of the Duffy Arts Center last year, the Malvern campus has undergone a major transformation. The updates this summer continue the School’s vision for a campus that matches its outstanding academic and extracurricular programs.
