Vowing to “Catch the Spirit” and “Lead by Example” the new members of the Malvern Prep Middle School Student Council pledged to work for their classmates and act as role models at their induction ceremony on Sept. 15 in the school’s Our Mother of Good Counsel Chapel.

Drawing strength from Pope Benedict XVI’s call to “Catch the Spirit” at World Youth Day in Australia this past July, the Student Council Members chose “Lead by Example” as their theme for the year. At their induction, the candidates recited a new signature prayer, received their student council pins and closed the ceremony by singing Malvern’s alma mater in front of the altar of the chapel.
