Empty Bowls is a national organization that has been supporting thousands of events worldwide since 1990. The way Empty Bowls works is simple.
Malvern students, faculty, and staff will create ceramic bowls, then serve a simple meal of soup and bread. Our soup is being donated by Mr. Tom Gray and the cafeteria staff. Guests choose a bowl to use that day and to keep as a reminder that there are always Empty Bowls in the world. Most of the bowls are being made community style, meaning different artists may work with the bowls at different stages of their creation. Some bowls will also be presented as Silent Auction Pieces.
Tickets are $25, and include a selection of one bowl, a soup dinner and admission to the Silent Auction and Sales Gallery at the event. All proceeds will be donated to Bethesda Project (www.bethesdaproject.org). For two weeks, tickets will be sold to the Malvern Community, only. Seating is limited to 300 guests, and this event WILL SELL OUT. Get your ticket orders in soon as there will NOT be tickets available at the door.
