Victor Maggitti, Jr. P'01 GP 13'15, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, hosted an informal reception for parents new to the school on this past Saturday at his home in Berwyn.
The reception was a chance for the school to welcome new members to the Malvern family and was an opportunity for fellow new Malvern Prep parents to meet each other, as well as get to know Malvern faculty, staff and trustees. President Jim Stewart and Trustee and Development Committee Chair Lou Teti P'11'11 spoke at the reception and stressed the importance of parental involvement in their sons’ educations. Stewart and Teti also spoke briefly of the many ways for parents to get involved at Malvern.
For an added twist for this year’s reception, Maggitti made sure the Philadelphia Phillies’ post-season game against the Milwaukee Brewers was televised throughout the house. This year was the ninth time Malvern Prep has hosted the popular event.
“There was a great spirit about the evening and a lot of good conversation,” said Malvern Executive Director of Development Marty Farrell about the event.
