Summer Strength and Conditioning Center Hours

The Malvern Strength and Conditioning Center will be open all summer from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. All students, faculty and staff and alumni are encouraged to make use of the Center. Mr. Miller will be available to assist with personal and team workouts. Football Equipment Distribution – July 20, 28 and 29

Varsity football equipment distribution will take place on Tuesday, July 20: Seniors at 3:00 p.m., Juniors at 4:00 p.m. and Sophomores at 5:00 p.m. Freshman football equipment distribution will take place on Wednesday, July 28 on an alphabetical schedule according to last names: A-F: 3:00 p.m., G-N: 4:00 p.m., O-Z: 5:00 p.m. Middle School football equipment distribution will take place on Thursday, July 29 according to the same alphabetical schedule as listed above for the freshmen. If anyone is unavailable on the dates listed above please contact Bill Mills, Athletic Trainer at wmills@malvernprep.org or 484-595-1144.
Malvern Prep Party at the Shore – July 31

Malvern Prep returns to Avalon, N.J., for our Annual Malvern at the Shore event on Saturday, July 31. Join us at the Rock N Chair, 2409 Dune Drive, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for a cash bar and complimentary food buffet. Gather with parents, alumni, friends and family for a fun afternoon. Malvern Prep Day at Morey's Piers - August 1

The Morey family, owners and operators of Morey's Piers in Wildwood, N.J., have made a wonderful offer to support Malvern Prep's Senior Service Program. On Sunday, August 1, they are hosting a Malvern Prep Day at Morey's Piers. For only $40.00 per person ($28.00 for children under 48 inches) you get full, unlimited access to every ride on all three of their amusement piers and full access to both water parks from 9:00 a.m. until closing. The normal cost of an all day pass is $58.00, so this is a great buy! And the good news is that the Morey family is donating 100% of the proceeds to Malvern Prep's Christian Service Program! Malvern Preparatory School Honor Rolls
Fourth Quarter and Cumulative Year-End 2009-2010
Malvern Preparatory School is pleased to announce its Honor Roll students for the fourth quarter and for the cumulative year-end. At the end of each quarter and the school year, Malvern Prep recognizes students who are excelling academically. Students attaining Distinguished Honors received a 4.0 G.P.A. or better. First Honors is awarded to students receiving a 3.5 to 3.99 G.P.A., and Second Honors is awarded to students receiving a 3.0 to 3.49 G.P.A. No student may receive honors with a B- or lower in any course.

Spanish Gift Signals Success of Global Exchange Program

For four weeks in February and March, five Spanish exchange students from Real Colegio Alfonso XII, one of Spain’s top prep schools, made Malvern Prep their home to study, take part in school life and learn about American culture.

Retiring from Counseling, Still Leading Charge for Global Exchange

After 24 years at Malvern Prep as a Spanish teacher and counselor, Lida Rosle has retired from those duties, but will still be heading the School’s growing Global Exchange Initiative as Malvern’s Global Exchange Coordinator. Mrs. Rosle’s e-mail address will remain the same, arosle@malvernprep.org, but her phone number has changed to 484-595-1100x3565. Mrs. Rosle will not have an office at Malvern, but will be working from home and traveling in her work for the exchange program. She will be on campus for meetings with host parents, teacher meetings and for interviewing prospective exchange students from Malvern. Thank you, Lida, for all that you have done for Malvern as a teacher and counselor and best of luck as you concentrate on this exciting initiative! Malvern’s new sophomore counselor will be Ms. Colleen Contriscianne, who starts work at the end of August and will have the phone number of 484-595-1135.

Malvern Sends Nine Lacrosse Players to the College Ranks

The Malvern Prep lacrosse team won a share of the Inter-Ac League title this spring behind a tremendous effort from its senior class – nine of whom will be playing in college next year: Ryan Creighton and Andrew O’Connell at North Carolina, Bobby Hill at Virginia, Scott Hueber, Mike Irvine and Dylan Spangenberg at Ursinus, Henry Lobb at Duke, Mark Jackson at Villanova, and Jack Moran at St. Joseph’s.
