	About Midnight Run
	A Service Tradition, Serving the Homeless
	Each year Malvern Prep participates in a Christian Service effort called ” Midnight Run”.  This is a program where a group of seniors, faculty and parents travel to New York City to feed the homeless.  As part of this service, the group assembles over 200 lunches for distribution at 5:00 p.m on the scheduled eve of the Midnight Run. The group departs campus at 7:00 p.m. to arrive at assigned places in the city. They stop, feed and cloth the homeless.  The group finishes 2:00 a.m. to arrive back to school.  It is a fabulous program that has existed for over 20 years.  The boys who went last year said that it was the best thing they ever did.  They have the opportunity to speak with the men and learn lessons that could never be learned in a classroom.

	How can I help?
	To do this wonderful service project we need help from the community.     Toiletries: We can use a supply travel size toiletries to offer these men.  Chap stick and travel size deodorant are a huge necessity.  Lunches: The lunches prepared by the boys are built through community donations.  Fortunately, Malvern receives all the lunch meat from Lou Colameco of Wellshire Meats. To complete the lunches Malvern needs sliced bread, banana’s, TastyKake’s, candy, sandwich baggies, juice boxes, and brown lunch bags.  Clothes: If you are cleaning out your closet and have men's clothing to donate, please consider donating to Midnight Run. We need clothing; especially warm clothes like sweat pants and hooded sweatshirts, sox, and new underwear.  Winter coats are always a blessing.   If you can help us with any of these items please call our Christian Service Director, Mr. Larry Legner at 484-595-1163 or email llegner@malvernprep,org .       Thank you for supporting the Midnight Run.
