Annual Fund Raising – The Malvern Fund is our annual giving program and our primary fundraiser each year. We always aim for 100% participation from our parents. The fund provides money for the school’s current year operating expenses. Gifts to The Malvern Fund make up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of running the school. Among other things, The Malvern Fund supports teacher salaries and benefits, library acquisitions, teaching tools, educational technology and equipment, continuing education for staff, etc.
Other annual fundraisers include B.A.S.H. (Building A Scholastic Heritage), the Father Duffy Golf Invitational, and the Teachers’ Retirement Fund.
Capital Giving – Like all independent schools, Malvern Prep, from time to time, embarks on a capital campaign to raise major gifts to meet building and endowment needs that the school cannot pay for out of annual operating expenses. Because campaign gifts tend to be larger than gifts to The Malvern Fund, pledges may be paid over three years.
