The Rev. David J. Duffy, O.S.A. Augustinian Scholars Fund has been established to provide a perpetual source of monies from which the administration of Malvern, upon receipt of contributions to Malvern and with the endorsement of its Board of Directors, may award scholarships to students fulfilling the academic prerequisites for admission who demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
When fully funded (Goal:$1,500,000), Malvern will distribute each school year approximately five percent (5%) of the fair market value of the Fund, valued annually as of December 31 of each year, for one or more partial grants to students who meet the established criteria, but at no time shall the principal of the fund be invaded.
The recipients of the Fund are to be students of proven academic ability and need as determined by the Head of School and the Financial Aid/Scholarship committee. Students selected for this program will have the highest recommendations of their teachers and principals.
Malvern will monitor the academic progress of all recipients of the Augustinian Scholarship Fund and may terminate any scholarship award if satisfactory progress is not demonstrated.
Malvern will provide all donors to the fund, an annual status of information pertaining to the administration of the Fund.
