The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame has chosen Malvern Prep senior John Bradford of West Chester as a recipient of a Scholar-Athlete Award. John and several other high school and college athletes were honored at a banquet hosted by the Foundation in the Connelly Center at Villanova University on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
Friars Win Second Straight Inter-Ac Baseball Crown

The Malvern Prep Friars clinched their second straight Inter-Ac title with a dominating performance over Episcopal Academy on Tuesday, winning by a score of 11-1 after five innings to run their record to 24-5 overall and 8-0 in the league.

Day of Silence Raises Awareness of How Language Leads to Bullying

Thursday, April 19 was a quiet day on the campus of Malvern Prep, but the hush spoke volumes. The Diversity Club sponsored a Day of Silence for the Upper School, in line with the national movement to raise awareness of bullying based on actual or perceived sexual orientation.

Marine Biology Students Learn Underwater Lessons in Florida Keys

A group of eight Malvern Prep students spent their Spring Break in Florida, but this was no week at the beach or trip to the Magic Kingdom. The juniors and seniors from Mr. Fry’s Marine Biology class went to the Florida Keys for five days of ecological education at the Newfound Harbor Marine Institute.

Shawn Wilson to play in 2012 Global Bowl

Congratulations to Shawn Wilson '12, who will be one of six area seniors to compete for Team Stars & Stripes in the 2012 Global Bowl. Shawn and his teammates, including 40 players from across the country, will travel to Italy from April 14-22 to take part in the April 21 game against the Italian National U19 Team.

These situations are real and are happening all across the world. Until now, they practically have gone unnoticed. That is, until Crozer-Keystone’s administrative director of Oncology, Marie DeStefano, her son, Kenny DeStefano, and a group of high school seniors from Malvern Preparatory School decided to start paying attention.

AP Economics Students Rock Out in Music Video Competition

How can you make topics like debt-equity ratio, gross domestic product, inflationary tendencies and price elasticity interesting to teenagers?  For Mr. Ostick's AP Economics classes, they're doing it by writing songs and creating music videos about these and other topics (though it must be hard to find words that rhyme with 'economist').
Malvern Robotics has strong showing in Rebound Rumble

Malvern Robotics returned from last weekend's Rutgers University FIRST Robotics District Competition feeling rather pumped, after reaching the finals and finishing tenth overall out of 42 teams.
