Students stage dramatic Stations of the Cross
Students from Malvern Prep and Villa Maria Academy teamed up to stage dramatic performances of Living Stations of the Cross on April 10 and 15 in the David J. Duffy, O.S.A. Arts Center.

These were not your ordinary Stations of the Cross, as the Passion play was accompanied by a well-chosen set of modern songs from artists such as Bruce Springsteen (“Streets of Philadelphia”), Eric Clapton (“Tears in Heaven”), Peter Gabriel (“In Your Eyes” and “Here Comes the Flood”) and Pink Floyd  (“Goodbye Blue Sky”) performed by the Malvern Liturgical Music Group. The music set the tone for the performance, bringing out the human emotion of each station of Jesus’ suffering, sacrifice and ultimate triumph. The Living Stations were directed by Malvern teachers Larry Legner and Ed Liga, and featured Malvern senior Tom Kovell of West Chester as Jesus.
