Ten Malvern students have been selected for placement in the 2012 Archdiocesan All-Catholic Chorus.
On October 27, the ten students travelled to Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster to audition for the 2012 All-Catholic Chorus, an elite performance ensemble consisting of the best high school singers from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and area private schools. Each auditioning student sang two prepared pieces, Haydn’s “The Heavens Are Telling” and Handel’s “Hallelujah, Amen." Students were judged by choral directors for pitch and rhythmic accuracy, voice quality, musicianship, and preparation.

All ten Malvern students gained placement in this year’s All-Catholic Chorus Festival, hosted by Archbishop Wood, to be held in February 2012. The students will be led by Dr. Christopher Kiver, a Grammy award-winning choral conductor from Penn State University. This year’s Malvern All Catholic Chorus members are: seniors Matt Griswold, Chris Tiberi, Chris Smart and Kyle Naser; junior Jon Booream; sophmores Matt Anthony (ranking 1st chair in his section), Luke Sorensen, Max McClatchy and Anthony Abron; and freshman Andrew Stetser.
