“I commit myself before God and this community to uphold the principles on which the National Honor Society stands. I will maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, service and leadership.”
So began the pledge recited by 41 Malvern juniors and seniors who were inducted into the National Honor Society on Monday, Oct. 24, in the Duffy Arts Center. The students joined 19 of their Malvern brothers who were inducted into the NHS last year as juniors.

“It is not just scholarship that we honor today, it is also character and leadership and service,” said Rev. James R. Flynn, O.S.A. told the assembly. “And, to be honest, it is not just these young men that we honor today. It is every person in this school who chooses to use his or her God-given gifts for the benefit of others.”
