When the board approved the strategic planning process back in 2010, it was important to the School's leadership that the plan represent all facets of the Malvern Community. A comprehensive strategic planning process was last coordinated in 1995. Given the leadership transition, the advances in technology, and the ever-changing needs of our students, it was imperative that Malvern not only plan for the future, but also evaluate its current programs.
With this in mind, the Strategic Planning Committee conducted an online survey in December of 2010 and then followed up the survey with focus groups and a retreat that was held in February 2011. The information received from the alumni, parents, faculty and staff was crucial to the development of the school's 2016 vision.
Once the feedback was reviewed, seven themes arose, which helped the school create its seven goals. Each goal was assigned a subcommittee comprised of board members, faculty and staff, parents and alumni. The seven subcommittees worked tirelessly over the summer to further discuss and synthesize their assigned goal. From these meetings, strategies and date driven tactics were created and will be implemented in the coming days, months and years.
Malvern is truly grateful to all who participated and cannot thank the community enough for their thoughtful responses, thorough research and all-around passion for Malvern's future. The Board of Trustees and Administration feel strongly that this plan will guide the school to a new level of academic excellence. Thank you!
