Jeremy Gonzalez, a senior and co-captain for Malvern Prep's rowing team, has committed to row for the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in the Fall of 2013. He has accepted an opportunity to complete a post-graduate year at the Kent School in Connecticut as a Naval Academy Foundation Prep Student.
A three-year member of the Varsity squad, Jeremy was a SRAA National Champion in 2011 in the lightweight double, a three-time Stotesbury Cup Champion, and won a Philadelphia City Championship in 2011 and 2009. He received a Coach's Award and also competed in the Henley Royal Regatta in England in 2011.
A member of the 2011 Varsity cross country team at Malvern, Jeremy has been involed in numerous community service projects at Malvern, including Empty Bowls, the C.A.R.E.S. Walk, and Urban Challenge. He is the son of Jeremy and Elaine Gonzalez of Chadds Ford.
