Christopher Igidbashian, a 2005 graduate of Malvern Prep, attended the School when it was in its artistic transition. He was one of Mr. Liga's early recruits for the fledgling Liturgical Music Group, playing cramped concerts in Vasey Hall and practicing in the basement of what is now Tolentine Hall.

Music & Arts in Newtown Square, returned to Malvern on Friday, April 27, to teach a master class with Mr. Liga's 6th period Guitar Ensemble. He spoke to students about his Malvern musical experiences and discussed collaborative ensemble musicality. He also marveled at the resources available to students in the Duffy Arts Center and how far Malvern's commitment to the arts has progressed in the past decade. "This was something that was on the horizon when I went to school here but it hadn't been realized. It is really great and is a tribute to the people here on the Arts staff. They really encouraged my interest in music and my experiences here affected me moving forward in my life."
