A rematch of last year's thrilling Inter-Ac Lacrosse Championship game has been set, as the fourth seed Friars take on top seed Haverford School on Monday, May 21, at 5:00 p.m. at Cabrini College's Edith Robb Dixon Field.
Last year, the undefeated Fords scored two goals in the final 36 seconds to take a 5-4 victory over Malvern Prep at Cabrini. The two teams have traveled different paths to the tournament in 2012. Haverford went 18-1 including a 9-0 record in the conference, while Malvern struggled to a 7-9 mark, including 5-4 in the Inter-Ac. Monday's game may have a bit of a David vs. Goliath feel.
Haverford advanced on Wednesday, May 16 with an 11-3 win over #9 Shipley, while Malvern enjoyed a home field advantage and cruised to a 9-2 win over Penn Charter.
