About

Malvern Preparatory School is an independent, all-boys prep school located in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Malvern Prep dates all the way back to 1842 as the direct continuation of the Augustinian academy program for what is now Villanova University. Our educational experience starts with our Middle School in sixth grade and continues all the way to the 12th grade of our Upper School. From the first day of Middle School to Upper School Graduation, every student receives personalized guidance, gains access to state-of-the-art resources, technologies, and facilities, and is given the proper tools to become a selfless leader. 

Academics: 

Through a rigorous, college-preparatory program, we guide young men on their journey inward as they discover themselves and the world around them - inspiring them to connect with others and to contribute to the common good. With over 16 AP courses available, partnerships with accredited universities for upperclassmen to earn dual credits, and our Peer-to-Peer Learning Center, students are given impeccable resources to excel in the classroom and prepare for the next level of academia.

Malvern is certainly a safe haven for artists of all mediums! The state-of-the-art Duffy Arts Center provides unparalleled opportunities for artists to discover and display their unique talents. With a ceramic studio, computer graphics lab, dark room for both traditional and digital photography, a 585-seat theatre for the Malvern Theatre Society, and more, students build on their artistic portfolios and uncover cultural and historical context through the exploration of art. 

Student Life: 

Malvern students are encouraged and expected to immerse themselves in a plethora of extracurricular activities and clubs. With over 30 different clubs and organizations, students explore hidden talents, identify their new passions, and are given the keys to fully execute their own initiatives and plans. The Malvern student experience is also meant to mirror college life. With that said, students are expected to manage their daily schedules, prioritize assignments or commitments, enjoy scenic walks between our state-of-the-art classrooms and buildings, and develop behaviors and tendencies that are conducive to the independent lifestyle of college and beyond.
