The Back-to-School information below has a number of items in the dropdown menus that are important to complete prior to the start of school. Please complete each required action item and review the additional information that pertains to you and your son. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Summer Assignments

The document for summer assignments is linked below. Not all classes require the completion of summer assignments, but please make sure to check if the classes you registered for are on this document. It is organized by grade for our Middle School students and by subject for our Upper School students. Please reach out to the listed contact for each assignment with any questions.

Magnus Health Forms (required for school and athletics)

All health forms are due by the first day of school and/or sports practice (if your son plays a fall sport). If you haven’t already done so, please complete the forms via Magnus in MyMalvern and upload all necessary documents. Students will not be allowed to participate in fall sports or attend classes if their forms are not updated.

The forms can be found in "Resources" when you log into MyMalvern. Once in "Resources," click on the Magnus Health tile. You will be taken to your son's health portal which houses back to school and health forms.

Middle School & 9th Grade Orientation

Orientation for all (new & returning) Middle School students and the Class of 2029 will take place on Tuesday, August 26.
IMPORTANT: Transportation/busing will not be provided.

Middle School orientation

Middle School students will be on campus from 8:35 a.m.-2:50 p.m. for orientation activities.
Lunch will be provided in Stewart Hall or students are welcome to bring their own.
Orientation will include team-building activities, a campus tour and scavenger hunt, and opportunities to meet the teachers as students prepare for their first academic day.
Students will follow the regular dismissal schedule at the end of the day and picked up at 2:50 p.m.
Dress for the day is casual (shorts, t-shirts, casual shoes).
Students do not need to bring any school supplies, but should be prepared with a reusable water bottle and backpack.

Freshman Orientation

Time: 11 a.m.-2:50 p.m.
Please plan to drop off your freshman by the main entrance to the St. Augustine Center/CSI (Lot E), where teachers and upperclassmen will direct students to Duffy Theater to start their orientation.
During the day, students will receive student IDs and review information with their homeroom teachers, including accessing their daily schedule, class locations, fire drill procedures, how to use Community Time, etc.
Students will eat together in Stewart Hall, where lunch will be provided, or students are welcome to bring their own.
Students will participate in a fun scavenger hunt and other activities to help them get to know each other and familiarize themselves with our beautiful campus.
Students should plan to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers and to bring a refillable water bottle labeled with their name.
At the end of the day, students will follow the regular dismissal schedule. Students do NOT need backpacks or school materials for this day.

MyMalvern Access

MyMalvern is our internal system for students, parents, faculty, and staff. You can check grades, homework, view important reminders, sign and submit forms, and more.

As you prepare for the upcoming academic year, a number of back-to-school forms will need to be completed. The forms can be found in "Resources" when you log into MyMalvern. Once in "Resources," click on the Magnus Health tile. You will be taken to your son's health portal which houses back to school and health forms. To access MyMalvern, visit our website and click on “MyMalvern” in the lower right-hand corner of the home page.

Malvern Technology is unable to reset passwords. Parents/guardians must use this link to reset their password.

Note: If you are using a Gmail account for MyMalvern, you can click “sign in with Google” which will allow you to use your Google/Gmail account as a login. Finally, you will receive an email to your email address on record to confirm your account when signing up using Blackbaud ID. Going forward you will use your email and updated password to sign in or a Google account
if applicable.

Book Orders/Shipping Information

Books are anticipated to be delivered starting mid-August.

IMPORTANT: Books will be sent to the student address listed in MyMalvern. If you plan to have a change in address before the start of next school year, please contact dataprocessing@malvernprep.org as soon as possible so we can make that change.

Books will be left at doorsteps of homes upon delivery so if you are planning to be away during this timeframe, please arrange for someone to retrieve the books so they are not damaged due to weather or other circumstances.

Although not every class your son will take requires a textbook, all textbooks for the entire year will be delivered at the same time. Please keep any books that may not be used until later in the year in a safe place at home.

If a student switches classes, whether that be before the school year begins or during the school year, eCampus will automatically ship any new required textbooks and issue a return label for any books that are not needed anymore. Students will be given a designated location on Malvern Prep’s campus to drop off textbooks that need to be returned. Malvern Prep will handle the shipping of books back to eCampus.

Dress Code

Student Spending Account

All Malvern Prep students are automatically assigned a Student Debit Account and Personal Identification Number (PIN) which they can use to make purchases in the Dining Hall and the Campus Store.

Deposits to the students’ accounts can be made directly at the registers in the Dining Hall with cash or check only. Parents have the option to access their son's account via MyKidsSpending.com, an online service that allows parents to deposit money to their account and review account activity.

Upper School & Middle School Cell Phone Policy

To cultivate a culture where relationships flourish, learning deepens, and distractions are minimized, we are implementing the following student cell phone policy for all students: Cell phones must be turned off and put away in students' school bags for the entire school day. They are prohibited in all spaces around campus unless otherwise stated by a faculty or staff member. The school day starts at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 2:55 p.m.
