Malvern Prep celebrated its 3rd annual Day of Giving on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020. As a school, we are thrilled to share that the number of donors who participated more than doubled as compared to last year, with the school benefitting from donations by 445 generous donors. We were able to raise over $160,000 in donations, exceeding last year’s total by $78,000. Giving Tuesday 2020 sets the record for the school’s largest donor participation day in Malvern’s history.

“I am very proud of the Malvern Prep community. This is a year unlike any other and in that spirit, we had a day unlike any other.  Our community wants to support our students. We just need to provide them with the ability to do that. It is a great day to be a Friar!” shared Mike Treston ’02, Director of Development.

Malvern remains truly grateful for all that went into making Giving Tuesday a success, as expressed by Beth Alfonsi, Executive Director of Advancement, “Thank you to everyone who participated and supported young friars! And special thanks to the Development and Marketing Communication teams for executing a great day where so many were inspired to make a difference.”

Giving Tuesday was established in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good. It is now a global movement in over 70 countries, taking place each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. To learn more about Giving Tuesday at Malvern click here.
