Joseph Davis, Ph.D. is Vanguard’s Global Chief Economist and the Global Head of Vanguard’s Investment Strategy Group, whose research and client-facing team develops asset allocation strategies and conducts research on the capital markets, the global economy, and asset-allocation strategies. Mr. Davis also chairs the firm’s Strategic Asset Allocation Committee for multi-asset-class investment solutions. As Vanguard’s Global Chief Economist, Mr. Davis is a member of the senior portfolio management team for Vanguard’s Fixed Income Group. Mr. Davis is a frequent keynote speaker, helped develop Vanguard’s Capital Markets Model and the firm’s annual economic and capital markets outlook, has published white papers in leading academic and practitioner journals, and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Portfolio Management.
Mr. Davis earned his B.A. summa cum laude from Saint Joseph’s University, his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics at Duke University, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. David Frank is a Managing Director for Marsh, Inc. where he is the Leader of the Philadelphia Office as well as the US Employee Benefits Leader. As the Philadelphia Office Head, Mr. Frank is responsible for ensuring the appropriate resources, services, and solutions are identified and deployed to Marsh's 300+ clients throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. In addition, as the US Employee Benefit Leader, Mr. Frank leads Marsh’s human capital and employee benefits strategy.
He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and earned his MBA at Saint Joseph’s University. He also currently serves on the boards at The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and The Academy of Risk Management and Finance at St. Joseph's University. He resides in East Goshen with his wife and three children.

Mr. Kevin Traynor is President, and Chief Operating Officer of JGM Fabricators and Constructors and is responsible for strategically managing JGM’s business operations, recruitment, and training, and apprenticeship programs. JGM is an industrial construction and manufacturing company completing complex projects throughout the United States. Additionally, he is a founder of Eagle Advisors, a specialty consulting firm investing in real estate acquisitions, developments, and operations providing risk-adjusted investment opportunities to private investors.
Before to JGM, he co-founded MVP and Investment Company specializing in investments in veteran-owned business along with former Malvern Prep Board member Steve Cloetingh was principal and partner of a Philadelphia-based full-service real estate investment firm that acquired, developed, and managed over 12 million square feet of commercial and industrial real estate. He was also a founding partner of one of the top hydraulic fracturing proppant companies in the United States.
Mr. Traynor received a Structural and Civil Engineering degree from Drexel University. He is a 1986 graduate of Malvern Prep and resides in Downingtown, PA with his wife Beth and their five sons, Tripp '14, AJ '16, Jack '18, Matthew '21, and Kyle '22. In addition to sitting on the Board of Trustees at Malvern Prep, Mr. Traynor serves as President of his family foundation, the Kevin Traynor, Sr. Foundation, and the President of the Penn State Lacrosse Parents Association.

Mr. Brian Riley is the Co-Founder and President of Innate Biologics, LLC and has over 25 years of investment experience. Mr. Riley is the Managing Member, President, and Chief Investment Officer of JB Investments Management, LLC, the advisor to JB Investments Fund, LP and JB Investments Fund II, LP. From 2005 through 2017, Mr. Riley served as the sole member of the General Partner of JB Investments Fund, LP and JB Investments Fund II, LP. From 1993 to 2004, Mr. Riley was a Senior Vice President and special limited partner of the KPS Special Situations Fund, L.P., ("KPS) a distressed private equity fund specializing in bankruptcies and restructuring and served as a Board Member on several KPS portfolio companies. Mr. Riley was an Analyst at Smith Barney in Mergers and Acquisitions from 1991 to 1993 and graduated cum laude with a BS in Finance and a BA in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Riley is the chairman of the Board of Limited Jurisdiction for St. Patrick's School in Malvern, PA, is a member of the Executive Committee to the Board of LaSalle Academy in Philadelphia, and is a member of the investment committee for the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA. The Riley's founded the Riley Family Foundation, which is focused on Catholic education and support for the disadvantaged through Catholic-based charities. The Foundation also directly supports the Augustinians in their ministries.
Mr. Riley and his wife Barbara live on a farm in Phoenixville with their five children.

Previously, she led talent acquisition for Accenture’s Management Consulting business globally as well as the Northeast Office of McKinsey & Company, where she launched her management consulting career.
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Lehigh University, Mrs. Cherian earned a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, where she was one of 12 Leadership Fellows. Marissa serves as Secretary of the Board of Trustees at Malvern Preparatory school, a private, Catholic college preparatory academic institution rooted in Augustinian values of truth, unity and love and as a trustee on the Board of Trustees at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, a private, Catholic college preparatory school that has been inspiring young women to inquire, explore, imagine and innovate since 1856.
Marissa lives in Ardmore, Pennsylvania with her husband Saj and their two children, Cole, MP’22 and Alessandra, NDA ’24.

Mr. Alban also serves as the Honorary Consul of Peru in Philadelphia and Vice President of the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia. Mr. Alban earned his Law degree from the University of Piura, Peru and is a lawyer in Peru. He earned his Master’s Degree in International Law from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and he is a Graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Stonier School of Banking.
Prior to Customers Bank, Mr. Alban served as a Vice President of Multicultural Banking for Bryn Mawr Trust and has also served as Director of Hispanic Banking for Susquehanna Bank (Former First National Bank of Chester County). Mr. Alban was the Founder of The Hispanic Approach and the Hola Magazines, marketing agencies focused on multicultural markets.
Mr. Alban currently serves and has served as a board member for many organizations across the greater Philadelphia region, including: Congreso de Latinos Unidos, the YMCA of the Greater Brandywine, Baker Industries, Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce, and La Comunidad Hispana.
Mr. Alban was the recipient of the “40 under 40’ award in 2020 by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the “Thanks for Caring” award in 2014 for his community involvement and numerous contributions by the Chester County Community Foundation.
Mr. Alban has been an Adjunct Professor of Spanish at several Philadelphia-area Universities, including Villanova University, Cabrini University, and Immaculata University.
He currently resides in Malvern with his wife and three children.

Lynn Bevevino is the owner of Hark Promotions, a promotional merchandising small business out of Malvern, PA. Raised the 6th child of New York Italian parents, Lynn attended college on a track scholarship, earning a Communications degree and began her career with Meridian Bank and retired as a Vice President 7 years later when her third child was born.
During her “retirement,” Lynn ran a consulting company where she created and facilitated Leadership, Executive Skills, and Teambuilding programs throughout the Philadelphia area to companies such as PECO Energy and CertainTeed. After her 5th child was born, she has mainly focused her efforts on family and charity, chairing several boards, including being a founding board member of Partners In Outreach, and working part-time in marketing with her husband at Macadam Company in Malvern.
Lynn began her relationship with Malvern Prep in 2007 when the first of her five children was accepted to the school. Four boys later, she’s seen Malvern at its best, and wishes to extend goodwill and practical knowledge to help all families love Malvern and students leave the school with a positive experience.
Lynn and her husband live in Malvern and enjoy spending time with their large extended families, traveling and staying active in their community.

With more than 23 years of experience, Toby has an extensive background in residential, industrial and public-private real estate initiatives, involving market and project analysis, alternative financing solutions, operations and development services. Throughout his career, he has worked with higher education and government clients to build sustainable communities. In addition to serving as a Malvern Prep Trustee, Toby also serves as a Board Member for Neumann University and Rebuilding Together Philadelphia. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and an MBA in New Ventures and Entrepreneurial Studies from Pennsylvania State University.
Toby resides in West Chester, PA with his wife Giselle and three children, including his son a member of the Class of 2028.

Bryan Carter is the President of Gesu School, the nationally renowned independent Catholic school serving North Philadelphia’s children. As someone who credits his Catholic grade school and Jesuit high school education with helping him face the challenges of growing up with five brothers in a single-parent household in the heart of Cleveland, he knows first-hand the incredible power a quality education can have for children living in the inner city.
In June 2011, Carter became Gesu School’s 3rd president and CEO since the school became independent in 1993. Prior to joining Gesu School, Carter served as Resource and Community Development Director for the national adoption agency, The Cradle. Through his position with The Cradle, which has placed more than 14,000 children into permanent homes since its founding in 1923, Carter increased the number of donors by 67 percent, increased the number of dollars raised by 86 percent, and achieved goals set for encouraging African-American individuals to become adoptive parents. Carter believes the work was a wonderful way to apply the business skills he developed as an entrepreneur and Pharmaceutical Manager with Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Pfizer towards a valuable cause while giving back to the community — and he looks at his position at Gesu as an extension of that privilege. Additionally, Carter serves on the Diversity Committee at Waldron Mercy Academy, the Equity and Justice Committee at Merion Mercy Academy, the Board of Trustees at the Shipley School, and the Board of Directors for the SpeakUp! organization.
Carter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Business Management from Case Western Reserve University. He and his wife, Joan Roebuck-Carter, reside in Chestnut Hill with their daughter, Elaina.

Mr. Ben Davis is in his 7th year working for NBC Sports Philadelphia as the Philadelphia Phillies in game Color Commentator and in studio pre and postgame analyst.
Ben played in the Big Leagues from 1998 to 2005; however, his professional baseball career lasted over 16 years. Mr. Davis retired from professional baseball in 2010 after playing for the San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago White Sox.
Mr. Davis and his wife Megan have four children, two boys and two girls. Mr. Davis has a son in the Class of 2024.

Rev. Louis A. DelFra, C.S.C., serves as the Chairman of the Board, as well as a faculty member and Director of Pastoral Life, for the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE). ACE is a national, and increasingly international, K-12 Catholic school teacher training M.Ed. program that places recent highly talented college graduates in under-resourced K-12 Catholic schools around the country.
A 1988 graduate of Malvern Prep, he returned to Malvern as a teacher and coach in both the Middle School and High School from 1992-1995. He then returned to the University of Notre Dame, where he entered the Congregation of Holy Cross and was ordained a priest in 2004. He currently publishes in the fields of teacher education, Catholic character in K-12 Catholic schools, and the spirituality and vocation of teaching. He gives retreats and workshops throughout the country on the intersection of faith and education, including "Creating a Catholic School Culture on the Pillars of Discipleship, Community, and Prayer." His publications include, "Teaching Theology through Literature: A Justification and Proposed Curriculum for Teachers" in Catholic Education: A Journal in Inquiry and Practice, as well as a popular series of daily spiritual reflections for teachers, 5 Minutes with Christ; 5 Minutes with Saints; and 5 Minutes with the Psalms: Spiritual Nourishment for Busy Teachers. He is the recipient of the University of Notre Dame's William A. Toohey Award for Preaching.

Rev. Peter Donohue serves as the President of Villanova University, located in Radnor, Pa. Father Donohue has a rich background in education and theatre and served as the University’s Chair of the Theatre Department from 1992 to 2006. He annually directed musical theatre productions on campus, earning six Barrymore Award nominations and one Barrymore Award for Outstanding Direction of a Musical from the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.
Father Donohue serves on the Board of Trustees for Villanova University, Merrimack College, Malvern Preparatory School, St. Augustine Preparatory School, the Greater Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Catholic College and Universities and the Association of Independent College and Universities in Pennsylvania. Father Donohue currently resides in Radnor, Pa. will the Augustinian Order.

Following his graduation from Malvern Prep, Mr. Flynn attended Villanova University and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Flynn is the CEO and President of Shannon Chemical Corporation. The company specializes in manufacturing proprietary water treatment chemicals for use in municipal drinking water. Shannon Chemical Corporation has 4 production facilities, two in Pennsylvania, one in Columbus, OH, and one in Dallas, TX.
He serves on the Engineering Advisory Board at Villanova and was the recipient of the 2012 Villanova Professional Achievement award.
In his spare time, Mr. Flynn enjoys spending time in Avalon, NJ, golf, boating, and scuba diving. He is married (Lisa), has four sons, and resides in the Malvern area. All four of his sons attended Malvern Prep; Kevin (2008), Ryan (2011), Conor (2011), and Tommy (2023).

Rev. Rob Hagan serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Welfare at Villanova University. As part of this role, Father Rob oversees the areas of Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning, as well as the administrator for the golf program, and serving as the chaplain for the Villanova men's basketball and football teams. Prior to his current role at Villanova, Father Rob was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
Father Rob graduated from Villanova with a Bachelors of Arts in 1987. He earned a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1990 and spent seven years as an attorney with Gillin and Associates, where he also served as Criminal Defense Counsel. He also served as assistant counsel to the Solicitor for the Delaware County Solid Waste Authority and the Delaware County Register of Wills.
Father Rob entered the Order of St. Augustine in 1997. He served as Chaplain at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and at the University of Maryland, College Park, and received a Masters in Theology from the Washington Theological Union in 2003. He is a past member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Delaware County Bar Association, and the Delaware County Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Ms. Shonda Little, a West Philadelphia native, was educated in the Philadelphia parochial and public-school system. After graduating from the nationally-ranked Central High School of Philadelphia, Ms. Little attended The University of Pennsylvania on a full academic scholarship as a Mayor’s Scholar, where she earned an undergraduate degree in neuroscience. She later earned a graduate degree in cancer epidemiology from Drexel University School of Public Health. Additionally, she is a Certified Personal and Executive Coach.
Ms. Little has over 22 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in clinical research and development. As a Lead Scientist, she has successfully led the development of several oncology drugs resulting in accelerated approval from FDA and various other health authorities. She has co-authored numerous scientific publications and collaborated with top cancer researchers across the globe. Ms. Little currently works at Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Oncology as a Senior Director, Clinical Project Scientist Head where she oversees a global team of clinical scientists who design and execute oncology clinical trials. Outside of work, Ms. Little gives back to the community as a member of the Chester County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling with her son, Alexander.
Rev. Gary N. McCloskey, O.S.A., Ph.D. '69
Rev. Gary N. McCloskey, O.S.A., Ph.D. is a researcher/educator focusing on the Pedagogy and Spirituality of Saint Augustine of Hippo and the practice of Instructional Technology. He has been a teacher and administrator in higher education as well as a teacher at middle and secondary levels in various locations in the Eastern United States. Along with his publications, he has shared research findings and provided teachers with professional development on six of the seven continents. On www.augustinianpedagogy.org, he has posted his work (as well as documents from others who have used his work).
As part of his teaching, Fr. McCloskey has also authored publications in Instructional Technology, including two editions of a university-level textbook: Eugene F. Provenzo, Jr., Arlene Brett, and Gary N. McCloskey, O.S.A. Computers, Curriculum and Cultural Change: An Introduction for Teachers. (1999 and 2005) and is a certified online teacher. He was born in 1951, professed religious vows in the Order of St. Augustine in 1970, and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1977.

Mr. Sean McConnell is a commercial litigation partner and vice-chair of the Antitrust and Competition practice group at the global law firm Duane Morris LLP. Sean represents local and international clients on the full range of antitrust, competition and complex commercial matters. He counsels clients in their most high-stakes and sophisticated cases, including complex class actions, civil and criminal investigations, and the antitrust and competition aspects of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. McConnell's experience spans numerous industry sectors, with a focus on life sciences, transportation, manufacturing and food and beverage. Sean also maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on prisoner civil rights cases and assisting homeless and nearly homeless veterans.
Mr. McConnell grew up in Coatesville and graduated from Malvern Prep in 2001. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Finance and double major in Economics. He graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 2009 and currently lives in West Chester with his wife and three children.

Previously, he was Vice President of J.P. Morgan and Company and a Certified Public Accountant/Manager at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co.
He serves on Haverford Trust’s Board of Directors, is a member of the Executive Committee, and a voting member of the Investment Selection Committee. He also serves as the Vice-Chairman on the Board of Trustees for the Paoli Memorial Hospital Foundation, sits on the Board of Advisors, Nerney Leadership Institute at Cabrini College, on the Investment Committee of Main Line Health, and on the nominating committee of the Phila Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Brian McTear is the President of Crumdale Partners, an innovative insurance business headquartered in Radnor, PA where he is primarily responsible for new product development and sales and marketing. Brian was previously Senior Vice President at Preferred Sands, a diversified business in the oil & gas industry where he led corporate development and new product development for Preferred’s technology business. Prior to that, Brian was a Partner at Blank Rome, LLP, where he advised public and private companies as well as private equity firms and their portfolio companies on business, corporate, and transactional matters.
Brian earned a B.S. in Psychology at Ursinus College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law, where he was the editor-in-chief of the law review. He has served as a guest lecturer at Temple University and Drexel University on entrepreneurism, has numerous legal publications, and was named to SmartCEO Magazine's Legal Elite list and recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine. He is the immediate past chair of the Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and was a past Vice Chairman of the imPACT venture capital conference.
Brian and his wife Allyson currently reside in Newtown Square with their four children. Brian has a son in the class of 2024 and twins in the class of 2025.

Michael graduated from Malvern Prep in 2003. After Malvern, Michael attended Princeton University, where he played football and earned a degree in political economics in 2007. He then earned his law degree at Villanova University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2010. Michael has served on Malvern Prep’s Alumni Board since 2012 and begins a three-year term as Alumni Board President in 2021.

Rev. Robert J. Murray, O.S.A. currently serves as the Head of School at St. Augustine Preparatory School. He has been a member of St. Augustine's Board of Directors since January 2010 and has served as Chair of the Mission, Governance, and Planning Committee as well as a member of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee.
Fr. Murray entered the Augustinian Novitiate in August 1975, making his first profession of vows on August 28, 1976, and then attended Villanova University. He went to Washington Theological Union to complete his theological studies. His first assignment was a Theology teacher at Msgr. Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA. He completed additional studies at Villanova University gaining an MS in Counseling. He completed his doctoral studies at Temple University and earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. He completed his Post Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Fr. Murray has taught in both the Education and Human Science Department and the Department of Education and Counseling at Villanova University. A highly regarded tenured professor, widely published author, and international presenter on counseling and mission effectiveness in Catholic schools, he has served in various leadership roles at Msgr. Bonner High School and on several boards of independent schools including St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, NJ, Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova, PA, and Merrimack College in Andover, MA. He has also served on the Board of Governors while representing Villanova University and as an advisor on both the Augustinian Provincial Council and the Augustinian Vocation Board.
Fr. Murray has also provided sacramental ministry for several parishes, includes St. Augustine Parish in Bridgeport, PA, St. John Eugene Parish in Bryn Mawr, PA, and St. John Neumann Parish in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Mrs. Katherine (Kathy) Oates is the Vice President of Human Resources, US Pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline. She is responsible for improving the quality, depth, and breadth of talent across the organization. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Oates spent 15 years in the US commercial organization, most recently as the Vice President of the US Pharmaceuticals Transformation Office.
Prior to working at GlaxoSmithKline, Mrs. Oates was a consulting manager for Accenture. She resides in Downingtown with her husband and 2 children.

A Friar for over 30 years, Fr. Jim Paradis is Prior of the local community of Friars at St. Augustine Parish. Originally from Michigan, he graduated in 1977 with a BA in Advertising Management from Michigan State University. Fr. Paradis came to know the Augustinians in his late 20’s through parish involvement while working in marketing/advertising management for several years in Philadelphia. At age 31, he entered religious life. In 1991 he completed a Master of Arts, Theology from Washington Theological Union, in Silver Springs, Maryland and was ordained. He received a Doctor of Ministry, with honors in 2001, Clinical Pastoral Psychology Andover-Newtown Theological, New Center, MA.
Fr. Paradis was the Director of Novices, Federation Of Augustinians of North American Augustinian Novitiate in Racine, Wisconsin where he was responsible for formation work in preparing men for living an Augustinian religious life. Prior to that, he was the Director of Cascia Center Ministries, National Shrine of St. Rita, Philadelphia where he spearheaded counseling, outreach, and new urban ministry initiatives. Fr. Paradis has held many different positions including Director of Personnel, Augustinian Friars, Province of St. Thomas of Villanova assisting Prior Provincial in all matters pertaining to personnel, ongoing education, and formation: planning, assignments, health and wellness, community life issues; and weekend sacramental ministry at Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish Bryn Mawr, Holy Cross Church and St. Augustine Church in Philadelphia; Associate Pastor at St. Denis in Havertown.
Fr. Paradis is a certified pastoral counselor and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Clinical Pastoral Psychology. Over the years he has worked with individuals, couples, and groups, including those who have suffered trauma and great loss, to find wholeness and new life.
Fr. Paradis has been a Member of Provincial Counsel, Augustinian Friars of Villanova Province; Villanova University Board Member, Member of the Board of Director, Siloam Ministries in Philadelphia, Advisory Board Member, The Austin Center for Counseling in New Rochelle NY, recipient of the Henry C. Brooks Award for achievement in the field of psychology and religion.

Sister Stephen Anne Roderiguez serves on the Immaculata IHM Congregation's Leadership Council. She has spent nearly 20 years teaching elementary school for the dioceses of Philadelphia, Metuchen and Camden, NJ., Allentown, PA., and Raleigh, NC. Prior to her present role, Sister Stephen Anne was the Principal of St. Aloysius Academy for nine years. She also has served as the Assistant Principal of Villa Maria Academy Lower School and as principal at Immaculate Heart Catholic Elementary (Girardville, PA), St. Martin of Tours Catholic Elementary School (Philadelphia), and Queen of Heaven School (Cherry Hill, NJ).
Sister Stephen Anne holds memberships in a number of professional organizations to keep current in the educational field. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Gesu School in Philadelphia and for the past six years she has served as a consultant for Liguori Academy, an urban high school for at-risk students in Philadelphia. Sister Stephen Anne also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Immaculata University, Villa Maria Academy High School, Cristo Rey High School, and St. Francis de Sales School in Philadelphia. In 2007 she received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organization from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2016 she was recognized with the Educator of the Year Award at the St. Martin of Tours School GALA and in 2017 became the recipient of the Lead.Learn.Proclaim Award from the National Catholic Education Association.

Mr. Barkley Sample is the Regional Director for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh. He has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2004, including working with two Easter Seals affiliates (NC/ VA and Southeast Wisconsin). He has prior Board of Trustees’ experience as Vice-Chair at his Independent Catholic school alma mater (Waldron Mercy Academy), as well as serving on the Boards of TLC (Raleigh, NC), Oak City Cares (Raleigh, NC), and Sow Good Now (Newtown Square, PA). Mr. Sample is also in his 2nd stint as a member of Malvern’s Alumni Association Board.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Sample was a collegiate athlete and remains a sports and fitness enthusiast. He has a son, Zachary, that lives in the Philadelphia area.

The Rev. Bernard (Bernie) C. Scianna, OSA, PhD, is a dedicated Catholic educator and administrator and an ordained Augustinian priest with more than 30 years of experience. He currently serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Students for Student Support at Villanova University. In this position, he monitors and supports students experiencing non-disciplinary interpersonal and health issues that cause distress. Fr. Bernie was the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life from 2019-2021. Prior to joining Villanova, he held roles including Prior Provincial of the Midwest Augustinians, Headmaster of Cascia Hall Preparatory School, Pastoral Director at Providence High School, Associate Pastor of St. Clare Parish, and teacher of theology and history at St. Rita High School.
Fr. Bernie is a 1983 graduate of St. Rita High School in Chicago, where he first discerned a vocation with the Augustinian order. He was ordained into the priesthood in 1993. Fr. Bernie earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Villanova University, a master’s degree in Divinity from Catholic Theological Union, a master’s degree in Education from St. Xavier University, and a PhD from the University of Oklahoma. A committed servant leader, he has served on numerous non-profit Boards and supported multi-million-dollar fundraising efforts. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of Malvern Preparatory School and a previous member of the Villanova University Board of Trustees from 2008-2018.
