Christian Service Corner Dedicated on Campus

This morning, Fr. Chris Drennen, O.S.A. ’73 blessed the Christian Service Corner during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the St. Augustine Center for Social Impact. This new space will be used to broadcast upcoming events and opportunities for Christian Service throughout the year. It is located down the hall from what will become the new Christian Service Offices which will move to Sullivan Hall this summer. The relocation of these offices will provide easier access and visibility to students.

Featured in the space is artwork dedicated to Meal Move, a Christian Service initiative that was started in the spring of 2022 by rising seniors Leonardo Scarpato and Luka Webb. They soon enlisted the help of fellow classmates, Jeremy Jacobs, Jimmy Bobbit, Aidan Kelly, and Aidan Regan. The space will have a donation bin set up and at the end of each week all of the donations will be delivered by a Meal Move driver

Just this year, Meal Move provided 6,290 sandwiches to homeless shelters, pantries, and parishes, for those suffering from food insecurity. Meal Move has been a huge success because student drivers play a llarge role in its operation.
