In May 2021, Coach Freddy Hilliard cemented his legacy at Malvern Prep by earning his 300th win as Head Varsity Baseball Coach—a milestone that showcased his leadership and dedication to the program. Now, just four years later, Coach Hilliard has once again given the Friars a reason to celebrate, reaching a remarkable 400 career wins.
During his tenure as coach, his teams have dominated the competition, claiming several Inter-Ac Championships and winning the last two consecutive PAISSA State Championships. Since that 300th victory, Hilliard has also achieved an incredible 100-13 record.
“Coach Hilliard has impacted the lives of hundreds of student-athletes, many of whom have gone on to play at the collegiate level and beyond. He embodies what it means to be a coach and mentor in an Augustinian school, and we are grateful for his leadership. Congratulations on 400, Freddy.” shared Mr. Jim Stewart Jr. ’86, Head of Athletics.
With this latest achievement, Hilliard solidifies his place as the most successful baseball coach in Malvern Prep's history, leaving a lasting impact on the program and its players.
