Malvern Prep Lacrosse Wins PAISAA State Championship

On Thursday, May 21, Malvern Prep squared off against Inter-Ac rival Haverford School in the PAISAA Championship Final. Although the Friars had defeated Haverford in both regular-season matchups, the state title game proved to be a hard-fought battle from start to finish. In the end, a complete team effort propelled Malvern Prep to an 8–6 victory and the PAISAA crown.

Danny Lucovich ’27 paced the Friars’ offense with three goals, while Joey Murphy ’28, Chase Deves ’26, Conor McCarthy ’27, Eddie Rudloff ’26, and Jamie McCracken ’27 each added a goal.

Defensively, Thomas Ploszay ’26 delivered an outstanding performance in goal with 16 saves, and Matt Connolly ’26 turned in a strong effort at the face-off.

With the win, the Friars closed out an exceptional season with a 20–3 record, capturing both the Inter-Ac League and PAISAA Championships.
