In February 2025, Malvern Prep hosted a Business Ethics Case Study Competition—a student-led Incubator Grant initiative that challenged high school students to think critically about ethical dilemmas in the business world. As part of their first-place prize, winning team members Austin Trout '25, Alex March '25, Mac Traynor '25, and Michael Guardiola '25 accepted an invitation to take part in a Networking Day on Tuesday, April 15 with Equitable Advisors, LLC. They were joined by competition founders and organizers Boden Barry '26 and Luke Bobbitt '26, along with fellow students Ryan Nichols ’28, Will Boerner '26, Ian Rosenblatt '26, Noah Brand '26, and Chris Guadalupe '26 for a full day of learning and networking at the firm’s Bala Cynwyd office.
Mr. Eric Nichols P'28'30, founder of Educated Wealth Strategies (a smaller group within Equitable Advisors, LLC) and one of the competition judges, sponsored the Networking Day prize. Nichols and six of his colleagues welcomed the students and led engaging sessions on financial planning, investment strategies, and career opportunities in wealth management. Students participated in interactive planning sessions, role-playing activities, a Q&A session, and an office tour. Faculty mentors Mrs. Jessica Kenworthey and Mr. Zak Hill joined the students on their visit.
Thank you, Mr. Nichols, for hosting our students, and congratulations to our competition winners!
