Malvern Preparatory School is proud to announce a combined gift of $750,000 to the Malvern Prep Robotics and Engineering endowment fund from the Edginton Family (All-Fill Inc.) for $250,000 and the Parsons Family (CTDI) for $500,000. The gift will bolster an already established endowment fund for Robotics and ensure that it is fully endowed within the next several years. This transformational gift directly supports the endowment pillar of Malvern.Forever.: The Campaign for our Future.
Michael Parsons ’03, a member of the inaugural robotics team in 2002-03, views this gift as an acknowledgement of the program’s growth since that time and the impact that it continues to have on Malvern Prep students. “Malvern Prep robotics has come a long way in 22 years. The innovation, creativity, and ingenuity taking place daily on campus are impressive. To be able to solidify the program financially and provide resources that are necessary for it to continue to be on the forefront of engineering and robotics is meaningful to the Parsons family.”
“The Malvern Prep Robotics team is a tangible example of the platforms that Malvern Prep provides to its students to develop as lifelong learners and servant leaders,” says Ryan Edginton ’99. “This gift will allow the program to evolve and better serve the students.”
The Malvern Prep Robotics team secured its inaugural qualification for the National competition in Spring 2024, a milestone that will likely become routine once the program receives full endowment funding.
“The success of Malvern Prep Robotics is made possible by our incredible community of students, teachers, parents, and alumni. We are extremely grateful for the generosity and faith that the Edginton and Parsons Families have in our students and our mission,” stated Mr. Patrick Sillup, Head of School. "This represents not merely an investment in a program, but a reaffirmation of our collective belief in the transformational impact our students experience every day."
