On Wednesday, November 20, over 150 parents and guardians joined their sons on campus for a Day of Thanks & Giving. The day featured a community-wide service opportunity hosted by Malvern Prep’s Office of Inclusivity & Belonging and Christian Service Learning Program.
Participants worked hard to create cozy blankets for Comfy Covers, an organization dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. The group made 105 blankets to be distributed this holiday season. Others prepared 250 sandwiches for PB & Joy, which provides meals for those in need.
One of the event organizers, Mrs. Kelly Catania P'21'23, Director of Christian Service, noted, “Our Day of Thanks and Giving was highlighted by the students joining together with their parents to help the homeless of Philadelphia. It is this time of year when we show our gratitude for all our blessings and help those in need.”
We are grateful to all members of the Malvern Prep Community for making this a successful event!
