Malvern Prep Celebrates Learning Demonstration Day

On Friday, March 21, across Malvern Prep’s campus, demonstrations of learning were on display. This annual event allows students to demonstrate and celebrate their thinking, learning, and doing.

“Students have an amazing ability to design and showcase projects, presentations, and performances. This happens every day around campus - whether it's in the classroom, through independent study, or otherwise. We believe that taking the time to celebrate and recognize these accomplishments should be a critical part of who we are as a school,” shared Mr. Tom Pannulla, Head of Academics.

This ‘open campus’ day celebrated learning in all its forms, highlighting our Augustinian Values and fostering a deep sense of community. 

Additionally, the School announced that it has been awarded a $91,000 grant from the Ambassador's Fund for Catholic Education, a philanthropic organization founded to strengthen Catholic education within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. 

The grant will be used to establish and introduce the Catholic Values & Launchpad Collective, a groundbreaking initiative spearheaded by Malvern Prep in partnership with the Ambassador's Fund for Catholic Education and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education. This partnership is designed to provide a supportive, faith-rooted environment where Catholic school educators can incubate new ideas, develop sustainable implementation plans, and drive meaningful change—without competing with the day-to-day demands of their roles.

“Our faculty and students are designing solutions every day in support of the Common Good. Malvern Prep is excited to be chosen as the lead incubator school for this important grant from the Ambassador’s Fund. These monies will go a long way in supporting educators at Malvern and across the diocese with the tools they need to create and innovate for today’s world,” shares Mr. Patrick Sillup, Head of School.

This celebration of learning showcased the creativity, dedication, and innovation of Malvern Prep’s students and faculty. From gallery walk presentations, and mini-lessons to the announcement of the Catholic Values & Launchpad Collective, the day reinforced the School’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, community, and innovation.
