Malvern Prep Speech and Debate Team Qualifies for States
On February 20, six members of the Malvern Prep Speech and Debate Team competed at Harriton High School in the District Championship Tournament for Districts 15 and 10 of the Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL).
The topics covered in the debate included the expansion of the Supreme Court and teenage activism.
Austin Trout '25 & Alex March '25 placed first with a 3 and 0 record, securing a place to represent Malvern Prep at States in March. The teams of Noah Brand '26 & Nicky DePolo '26 and Shane O'Mara '25 & Will Shuford '26 also had strong showings.
