Malvern Preparatory School Announces $500,000 Gift to the Capital Campaign and the Scholar-in-Residence Program

We are deeply grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ehlers P'29 for their generous gift of $500,000 to Malvern Preparatory School this March. Their contribution supports two meaningful priorities for the School, the Scholar-in-Residence program with Dr. Niobe Way and our Capital Campaign, both of which reflect the heart of our Augustinian mission: forming and shaping young men of character, faith, and purpose.

"When I learned about the possibility of Dr. Niobe Way becoming our Scholar in Residence, I immediately wanted to support such an endeavor. On a national level, Dr. Way's research and time spent with the young men at Malvern Prep will truly showcase the AI — Authentic Intelligence — that makes our campus life so special,” said Charles Ehlers.

Dr. Niobe Way was introduced to the Malvern Prep Community on March 20, during our Learning Demonstration Day, as the Scholar in Residence for 2026-27. Her partnership with our school is one that will deepen our understanding of the young men we mentor and teach every day. Oes

"We are truly grateful to be part of the Malvern Prep Community and are honored to support the meaningful work being done with the students," said Jen Ehlers.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Ehlers, for investing in the future of Malvern.
