Seven Seniors Recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program

Congratulations to seniors Blake Lee and Matthias Michlitsch for being named semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Blake and Matthias are among more than 16,000 semifinalists nationwide who have earned the opportunity to advance in the competition for a chance to receive a National Merit Scholarship.

We also commend seniors Matthew Balmer, Luke Bobbitt, Mac Crawford, John Kelley, and Luke Vandevere for being recognized as Commended Scholars.

These honors follow the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which was administered last fall to high school juniors. Out of approximately 1.3 million participants across the country, recognition is awarded to the highest-scoring entrants within each state.
