Six Sophomores Attend Student Augustinian Values Institute

Each year the Student Augustinian Values Institute (SAVI) rotates between the ten Augustinian High School Campus' in North America. This year, the conference took place in Ojai, CA at Villanova Preparatory School. Malvern Prep sent six sophomore delegates to share and learn from the common mission of Augustine that guides each of our schools. Our delegates were Louis DelFra, Alex Kay, Aiden Cabahug-Almonte, Josh DeStefano, Drew Opperman, and Quin Bartwick. Andy Goyer, Malvern's Campus Minister, accompanied the students on their trip.

Over the course of the weekend our delegates heard three talks dedicated to the main Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love, met the Prior Provincial, Fr. Gary Sanders, O.S.A., explored the Santa Barbara Mission, participated in a private audience/Q&A session with the internationally renowned Bishop Barron, offered ecological service to the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, and shared ideas and best practices with other Augustinian schools that best embody the life and teaching of Augustine.
