The Riley Family Foundation Provides Malvern Prep Students with Hands-on Service Opportunities

Thank you to The Riley Family Foundation, led by Barbara and Brian Riley P’21’26, which has invested $6 million into Catholic Charities of Philadelphia ministries, benefiting nearly 300,000 people annually across the five-county region. A recent article describes their latest initiative as having provided Malvern Prep students with hands-on service opportunities through the School's Christian Service program, including volunteer days at the Community Center of Visitation in Kensington, the Delaware County Family Service Center, and the Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence. The Riley family truly lives our Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity, and Love, and hopes these programs instill a lifelong commitment to service in the young men of Malvern Prep.

Finn Riley ’26 has participated in these service days alongside his brother Jack ’21, and speaks to their impact -reflecting that success for him is a greater sense of purpose found in helping others. Finn notes that Malvern students who have taken part in these experiences still talk about them long after, a testament to how formative the encounters have been.
