- Upper School
Today, Malvern Prep proudly inducted twenty students into the prestigious Bellesini Honor Society. The society is named in honor of St. Stephen Bellesini O.S.A., the Augustinian Patron Saint of Students and Studies.
“We are honored to recognize these students for their academic integrity, grounded in our Augustinian mission,“ shared Dr. Patrick Sillup, Head of School. “It is not just about high achievement, it is about living the values we uphold - knowing yourself, knowing God through others, and building for a higher purpose,” he continued.
To be eligible for induction, students must have a GPA in the top 15% of their class by the end of the first semester of their junior year. Those who meet the academic criteria are invited to submit an essay that demonstrates how they embody the Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love in their daily lives. Once inducted, members are required to assist in the Peer-to-Peer Learning Center; they also organize and run the Red Cross Blood Drive, Christmas Tree Lighting, and Community Appreciation Lunch. To mark the uniqueness of this recognition, each student is given a blue and white striped bowtie, which serves as a visual symbol of their achievement.
