Upper School

Malvern's Upper School curriculum prepares young men for success in college and beyond. While striving for academic excellence and growth, students are encouraged to balance a challenging course load with extra-curricular involvement. Our robust college and academic counseling program ensures the structure and tools for our students to gain admittance to the most selective colleges and universities in the country.
We are educating tomorrow's leaders today.
Today, students need to do more than pass the test and get the grades. They need educational experiences that lead to deep understanding. Truly transformational education - the kind of education Malvern Prep aims to provide - must be lived.

As an Augustinian School, our design-based approach to education is guided by Catholic Social Teaching which emphasize the social nature of humanity and an ethics of the common good.

  • Core Knowledge

Our students learn the core skills and knowledge needed to succeed in school and to prepare them for college. Our cross-discipline curriculum provides the foundation for academic and personal success.
  • Deep Understanding

Through our project-based learning approach, students actually learn how to create knowledge and develop a true understanding of academic principles and global concepts. These are essential for being able to ask the right questions to solve complex problems.
  • Essential 21st Century Skills

Today, it's not enough to only pass the test, to be a straight A student. To succeed in college and beyond, students today need to know how to effectively communicate, work well with others, how to solve a problem. Our educational programs help to develop and nurture those skills, and more, in our students.
  • Personal Attention and Connections

During your son's time at Malvern, he will learn to know himself and others through true personal connections. These connections will stay with him throughout his life. Our faculty are skilled in connecting with students. They will know your son, and they will help him thrive.
  • Preparation for the Future

We don't know what the future holds, or what kinds of jobs our students now will hold in the future. What we do know is that by instilling a love of learning, character development, and learning how to problem solve we are giving them a solid and dynamic foundation for whatever job comes their way.
