Alumni Events and Programs

Malvern Prep aims to create an alumni culture that is an extension of the school's Christian Service projects, instilling a sense of duty to our community and serving as role models to current students by showing that there is still an expectation and responsibility to serve our community after graduation. This opportunity serves to strengthen the bond between students and alumni on a spiritual level.

The Alumni Association Executive Board is the governing organization that oversees all programs and activities related to the greater Alumni Association. It is comprised of no more than 20 members at any one time, including four officer positions, serving up to two consecutive 3-year terms. Each member of the Alumni Board is a representative of the greater community, which is why we are working to recruit members who are located across the country and who have graduated from different decades.

Overview
The objective of the Class Agent Program is to increase the number of alumni philanthropically supporting Malvern Preparatory School. Class Agent work will focus on class and/or cross-class solicitation to renew support from donor classmates and acquire support from non-donor classmates. Class Agents will engage their alumni community as class liaisons and peers, in conjunction with the Director of Annual Giving and Director of Alumni Relations. 

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and make an annual philanthropic gift to Malvern Prep (between July 1- June 30). 
• Educate alumni on the importance of supporting Malvern Preparatory philanthropically. 
• Engage with classmates to encourage philanthropic participation. 
• Participate in Fall Outreach, GivingTuesday (as an Ambassador), Spring Outreach, and Alumni Day of Giving (as an Ambassador).
• Send a thank you note (hand-written, email, or phone call) to steward gifts received through Class Agent personal outreach.
• Encourage your alumni contacts to become Class Agents, helping to expand the program.
• Assist with your reunion-year committee.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of Malvern Preparatory School.
• Contribute annually to a Malvern Prep fund.  
• Serve a two-year term (July 1-June 30).

The Alumni Golf Outing Committee is in charge of planning and organizing the Annual Malvern Prep Alumni Golf Classic. Members of the committee will be responsible for sponsorship solicitation and creative input.

For Reunion, each class needs a planning committee to choose locations, times, and details of their reunion. These committees generally meet 3-4 times throughout the year to finalize their class reunion plans.

Our annual 5K takes place on the morning of Homecoming each year. The committee helps to attract sponsors and runners, along with coordinating all of the race day logistics.

Assist the athletic team of your choice, in conjunction with the head coach and parents, to enhance the student-athlete experience through communication, fundraising efforts, and mentorship.
