Upper School Spanish Teacher

Position: Spanish Teacher
Reports to: Upper School Academy Leader

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Spanish educator that has both depth and breadth of content expertise to team with our World Languages department as well as a Grade Level Academy Team. Applicants should have experience with student-centered educational practices, a broad array of assessment strategies, and be comfortable with teaching a variety of learners across all levels of Spanish (Level I through AP). This position may also include teaching one section of Middle School introductory Spanish. Applicants are expected to be proficient with various forms of communication and instructional technology. Applicants will also be expected to be involved with co-curricular activities and/or mentoring students. In addition, we are seeking applicants with experience in service-oriented, project-based learning. A teacher within this role would be expected to design and implement learning experiences that are multidimensional, collaborative, and differentiated in addition to bringing an empathetic mindset to the learning process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Spanish and/or Education
- Master's Degree or Education Degree (preferred)
- Strong Spanish-speaking background
- 3+ Years of teaching experience (preferred)
- Current (dated within a year) clearances
Essential Duties:
- Creates and implements highly innovative, well-prepared lesson plans for a balanced program of instruction, application and class work activities within the World Language curriculum for all assigned classes
- Communicates student progress and class objectives to parents on a regular basis

- Designs, adapts, and delivers instruction to address each student’s diverse learning strengths and needs and creates opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning in different ways

Ceramics Teacher/Art Teacher

Job Summary: This is a grades 9 through 12, Upper School Visual Arts position that is an integral part of the students development at Malvern Preparatory School. The individual holding the position is charged with developing student’s knowledge of the ceramic/clay medium as well as other fundamental art disciplines such as drawing and painting. Responsibilities include, teaching multiple levels of ceramics courses, managing and maintaining the ceramics studio, supplies, kilns, and other equipment . The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with other faculty. The selected candidate must thrive in a team environment. Applicants are expected to be proficient with various forms of communication and instructional technology. Applicants will also be expected to be involved with co-curricular activities and/or mentoring students. In addition, we are seeking applicants with experience in service-oriented, project-based learning. Assistant Rowing Coach

Job Summary: The assistant rowing coach will be responsible for working with our novice program and work in conjunction with the head coach for other designations as needed.
Lastly, and perhaps most important, it is essential that the assistant rowing coach believes in the idea that we put team goals before our own, where we are “One Team All In.”
Qualifications:
- Some Coaching / Rowing Experience Preferred

Malvern Swim School Instructor

Position: Malvern Swim School Instructor
Reports to: Swim School Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a swim instructor who enjoys working with children. Potential candidates must be prepared to learn and instruct children in the pool as directed by the swim school director using a learn-to-swim framework designed to advance children through the swimming process. Applicants should be comfortable handling and working with children ages 3- 12. Applicants are expected to be consistently available at least two days a week, Tuesday - Friday weekdays from 9:00 - 2:00 and Saturdays from 10:30-2:30 September through May. Additionally, they should be available for at least 1 summer session in early June from 9:00 - 2:30 Monday-Thursday. Most importantly, this individual must be available, reliable and punctual as scheduled.
Qualifications:
● New instructors are encouraged to apply; 1-5 years working with children (preferred)
● Swim Instructor and/ or Coaching experience (preferred)
● CPR, lifeguard or Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification (preferred)
● Ability to have current (dated within a year) clearances (required)
Essential Duties:
● Learn and follow the learn to swim process as directed by the Swim School Director
● Be attentive to students at all times and promote a safe learning experience
● Keeps students actively engaged in learning

Van Driver (PT)

Job Summary:
We are currently in need of a Van Driver for the 2023-2024 school year to help with athletics transportation from 3pm-7:30pm. Most days will consist of a drop off and pick up for our rowers at Conshohocken Rowing Center (Fall M,T,TR,F / Spring T,W,TR,F)
Daily Rate: $60.00
Qualifications:
● Must have valid driver's license
● Must have a safe driving record
● Must maintain a professional rapport with a broad audience—students, parents, and all
staff
● A personable, friendly, and outgoing personality
● Current (dated within a year) clearances
Essential Duties:
● Drive safely along designated routes.
● Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations.
● Pick up and drop off students at designated locations
● Communicate with students and the Associate Athletic Director regarding delays or any
issues along a route.

Job Summary: Malvern Prep has an immediate need for a new Head Freshman Baseball Coach. The new head coach will oversee our freshman team under the guidance and system of our varsity coaches and program. Lastly, and perhaps most important, it is essential that the head freshman baseball coach believes in the idea that we put team goals before our own, where we are “One Team All In.”
Qualifications:
- 1-3 Years Coaching or Equivalent Experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Available to help with van transportation

Essential Duties:
- Sets a positive example for our students
- Works collaboratively with the associate athletic director and athletic director
- Practice and game schedules run Monday through Saturday from Late February through mid-May.
