4 Student-Athletes Competed in the PTFCA State Championships

On Sunday, March 2, four Indoor Track and Field team members competed in the PTFCA state championships. Malvern Prep finished 11th in the boys competition, with some fine individual performances. Sophomore Jalen Bowman finished fourth in the 60-meter run (6.87), which is currently ranked fifth in Pennsylvania and 25th in the United States. Friar sophomore Brock Yoder placed sixth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:36.20, which is ranked No. 7 in Pennsylvania and 52nd in the United States. Junior Ryan Woerner placed fifth in the triple jump (45-2.25), and senior Will Cipollone was eighth in shot put (53-5.25).

This is the first time that Malvern Prep has had four individual medalists in this meet, which brings together track and field athletes from across the state—large and small schools, public and private.
