Students and chaperones from Project Beisbol in Colombia stopped by Malvern Prep this week for a visit. The visit was arranged by Justin Halladay '95, founder of Project Beisbol, and Teresa Lohse, Malvern's Global Exchange Director, and was the follow-up to an exchange last year where a group of Malvern students traveled to Colombia.
While the students were here, they took part in our Ash Wednesday Mass that was celebrated in both English and Spanish, participated in workshops about leadership and equality, visited classrooms, took a yoga class, and practiced with our baseball team.
The group also spent time in Philadelphia on Thursday, March 7, with Tom McGuire, history teacher, and Bev Gordon, Dean of Faculty Coaching and Development, as their tour guides.
Look for an upcoming Unitas Blog post interview with Halladay, and a longer article in the Spring 2019 Malvern Magazine about Project Beisbol.
