Busing & Vans

We are easily accessible from many major highways and SEPTA’s Paoli/Thorndale regional rail line. We also provide a school van service to and from the Malvern Train Station and locations in the Delaware, Montgomery, and Southern Chester counties. In addition, public school districts bus to Malvern Prep.

  • Eastern Turnpike Shuttle

    There are two locations for traveling to and from Malvern in the morning and afternoon.

    Stop 1: Municipal Building, 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19046
    Stop 2: Whole Foods, 500 W. Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
  • Public School Busing

    Many of our students are bused by the public school district in which our student’s reside. State law requires the school district to bus if any part of the district is within 10 miles of Malvern Prep. Some school districts require additional forms for bus registration. Please contract Chrissy Leonard in our transportation office for details regarding school district requirements.

  • Southern Chester County Shuttle

    There is one location for traveling to and from Malvern in the morning and afternoon. Pick-up and drop-off will take place at: Wawa, 901 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
  • Montgomery County Bus

    In addition to public school busing, we offer transportation for students residing in areas of Montgomery County that fall outside of our public school busing area. We partner with Notre Dame Academy to offer this bus that picks up and drops off at the Wegmans Shopping Center in Collegeville. Students who reside in school districts not served by our public school busing are permitted to ride the bus free of charge.

  • Delaware County Vans

    To support students commuting from areas in Delaware County that are less convenient to public transportation and are outside of our public school busing zone, we offer two school van services that provide student transportation to and from school. Our vans depart shortly after the end of the school day. It does not return to pick up students who are participating in after school sports or activities.

    Currently, our two vans pick up and drop off at the following locations:

    Saxer Avenue Wawa (Intersection of Saxer and Powell)

    Depending on ridership, the centralized pickup locations may change from year to year, but will remain in the general vicinity of the current locations.

  • SEPTA Malvern Train Station

    The SEPTA Malvern Train Station is a three minute car ride from our school. We offer van service to and from the SEPTA Malvern Train Station in the morning and afternoon for those young men who reside outside of our busing zone and take public transportation.

    Currently, students who use our van transportation to and from the SEPTA Malvern Train Station live in:

    Coatesville, PAPhiladelphia, PA
    Exton, PAVillanova, PA

Public Transportation Options

We are located in close proximity to public transportation for those students who live outside of our busing zone and are not serviced by one of our other transportation options. Roughly five percent of our student body uses public transportation to get to and from school each day.

  • Regional Rail (Paoli/Thorndale Line) – Malvern Train Station
  • Septa Bus Route 92 (King of Prussia to Exton Line) – King Street in Malvern in front of the Malvern Train Station

    From the Chester Transportation Center, take the Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line to 30th Street Station. Transfer to the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail Line. Take this to the Malvern Station. Take school van to Malvern Prep.

  • From Center City or Overbrook Area of Philadelphia

    From 30th Street Station/Suburban Station or Overbrook Station, take the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail Line to Malvern Station. Take the school van to Malvern Prep.

    (Approx. Travel Time: 50 minutes. Daily Cost: $8.50/day Round Trip using Weekly Student Rail Pass.)
  • From Norristown

    From Norristown Transportation Center, take the 99 Bus to the Plaza at King of Prussia. Transfer to the 92 Bus towards Exton. Take the 92 Bus to King Road in front of the Malvern Station. Take the school van to Malvern Prep.
