    Within the history of every great institution, there are individuals, who through their vision, leadership, personality and passion, profoundly and positively impact the direction and life of that institution. Without question, the Rev. David J. Duffy, O.S.A. is a legendary figure at Malvern Prep. Fr. Duffy, with the help of dedicated alumni, parents and faculty, saved the School from closing in 1975 shortly after his arrival as Headmaster. More than 30 years later, it is apparent that the School has not only survived, but flourished during his tenure as Headmaster and President. Malvern Prep now stands as one of the top college preparatory schools in the region.
