    Giving Back to the Community

    For the past few years, Malvern Prep students and employees have made a commitment to give back to the local community through our 20 Can Challenge. Students, faculty, and staff are all challenged to each bring in 20 cans in support of our yearly food drive. Together, the community collected more than 8,000 cans to donate to St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Chester and the Chester County Food Bank in Exton.

    As I reflect on the close of another academic year, I am vividly reminded of the old ABC: Wide World of Sports theme, "The thrill of the victory, and the agony of defeat." These iconic words preceded ABC's sports coverage each weekend and helped define those unavoidable feelings of competition at the highest levels. When I hear this quote, I reflect on the many wins and losses that shaped this year, and how critical both the highs and lows are for the learning process for each of our student-athletes.

    Living Stations of the Cross : Bigger Than the Sum of its Parts

    Malvern Prep has been performing the Living Stations of the Cross every year since 2006. The cast puts on two performances during Holy Week. The first is on Palm Sunday, and the second takes place on the last day of classes before Easter Break.

    Justin Halladay '95: Sport for Social Change

    Malvern alumnus Justin Halladay ’95 established a non-profit organization ten years ago called Project Béisbol. Based in US and Colombia, the mission of this organization is to provide baseball and softball equipment donations, high-quality instruction, and international education opportunities for boys and girls in vulnerable communities in Latin America. Malvern students were invited to participate in an exchange in Colombia through Project Béisbol in October 2018.
