Malvern Prep aims to create an alumni culture that is an extension of the school's Christian Service projects, instilling a sense of duty to our community and serving as role models to current students by showing that there is still an expectation and responsibility to serve our community after graduation. This opportunity serves to strengthen the bond between students and alumni on a spiritual level.
The Alumni Association Executive Board is the governing organization that oversees all programs and activities related to the greater Alumni Association. It is comprised of no more than 20 members at any one time, including four officer positions, serving up to two consecutive 3-year terms. Each member of the Alumni Board is a representative of the greater community, which is why we are working to recruit members who are located across the country and who have graduated from different decades.
The Class Agent Program, in collaboration with the Development Office, is designed to maintain a strong connection between Malvern and its alumni. Class Agents act as a correspondent, solicitor, and liaison for Malvern to their classmates. Class Agents can also represent an additional year outside of their graduating class depending on their connection to the class.
Class Agent responsibilities include:
Connect with classmates throughout the year to inform them of upcoming events, school news, and encourage participation in giving towards: Athletics, The Malvern Fund, Duffy Augustinian Scholars, or Christian Service.
Work with the Director of Annual and Leadership Giving to devise a plan to best help increase alumni giving and engagement for their specific class year.
Communicate any updated contact information from his classmates to the Development Office.
The Alumni Golf Outing Committee is in charge of planning and organizing the Annual Malvern Prep Alumni Golf Classic. Members of the committee will be responsible for sponsorship solicitation and creative input.
For Reunion, each class needs a planning committee to choose locations, times, and details of their reunion. These committees generally meet 3-4 times throughout the year to finalize their class reunion plans.
