  • Opening Prayer

It is Malvern's tradition to open each class session with a prayer. The following prayer is commonly used and is suggested, although any prayer may be used.

"Direct we beseech you, O Lord, all our actions by Your holy inspiration and carry them on by Your gracious assistance so that every prayer and work of ours may begin with You and by You be happily ended, through Christ Our Lord, Amen." - St. Augustine
  • Prayer and Liturgy

The Augustinian Friars, in collaboration with the laity, provide the Malvern Community with a sustaining liturgical prayer life, including:
    • Daily Mass is celebrated at 7:30 a.m. in Our Mother of Good Counsel Chapel everyday, except Wednesdays. All are invited to attend.
    • Each school day and individual class sessions begin with a prayer.
    • The Eucharist is offered and may be received daily.
    • Private centering prayer opportunities are always available in the Chapel before the Holy Eucharist.
    • A daily Morning Prayer in the Chapel is celebrated with the School Community.
    • A weekly all-school Mass is held on Wednesdays.
    • Frequent Eucharistic Liturgies are celebrated for teams, groups, classes and families, as well as for special festive occassions, feasts and seasons within the Liturgical school year.
    • The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated, especially during the Advent and Lenten seasons.
    • An opportunity for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is provided monthly.
  • Closing Prayer

"You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless, until they rest in you." - St. Augustine
